Whether you want to see our latest exhibit, take a selfie with our state seal, or picnic on the grounds, your time here is an exciting one! Use the information below to plan your visit, but if you have questions, contact us! We’d love to do what we can to make your time with us one for the memory books!
Personal photography is welcomed and encouraged so long as you are being safe! Don’t forget to to tag us (History Center at Courthouse Square) on Facebook or (thehistorycenter) on Instagram. Also, use the hashtags #berriencountyhistoricalassociation and #HCCS1839 so we can find you and your photo may be featured on our social media pages, in a future edition of The Docket or in one of our ads!

Available year-round from dawn until dusk.

Pet Policy
Service animals are heartily welcomed by our animal-loving staff and leashed animals are welcomed on the grounds in pursuant with Berrien County Parks Department rules.
Well-behaved animals may enter the buildings with permission from our staff.
However, all disruptive animals that may be a danger to people and property will be asked to leave immediately.

From Bridgman/ I-94 Northbound from IN/IL: Take Shawnee Rd. to Ferry St, turn left; take to Cass St, turn right; museum is on left hand side; Bridgman is Exit 16
From St. Joseph: Take M-63 to M-139, turn right; follow M-139 to Berrien Springs; museum is on right hand side
From Benton Harbor/ I-94 Southbound from Kalamazoo: Take M-139 straight to Berrien Springs; museum is on right hand side; Benton Harbor is Exit 28.
