In 1988, the state declared that June 26th was to be Michigan Log Cabin Day.  Begun to celebrate the many historic log cabins across the state, today museums like the BCHA choose to use it to highlight some of our most vulnerable buildings.  The day was celebrated for many years before being suspened, however the program returned in full force in 2020!  The BCHA will host this event on Saturday, June 26, 2021
